Klodeta Cane serves as the Project Leader and Coordinator for the Balkan Jewish Initiatives. With a Master’s degree in her field, Klodeta brings a wealth of experience in project management and coordination. Her leadership is pivotal in navigating the complexities of the project, fostering collaboration, and driving impactful outcomes. Klodeta’s dedication to preserving and promoting Jewish heritage in the Balkans is evident in her strategic approach and commitment to persevere beyond the difficulties and impossibilities of this project.

Joyce Long, PhD
Dr. Joyce Long joined the Balkan Jewish Initiatives to rescue the Israeli part of the project amidst the outbreak of war. With a doctorate in Educational Psychology and a specialization in Curriculum Development, Joyce plays a crucial role in shaping the educational aspects of the initiative. Her expertise ensures that the project’s educational materials are both impactful and pedagogically sound. As an editor and contributor, Joyce brings clarity and depth to the project’s content, enriching the overall narrative and educational value.

Historian and Researcher
Associate Professor Dr. Edmond Malaj
Dr. Edmond Malaj is a Scientific Researcher at the Center for Albanian Studies and the Chief of the Department of Middle Age at the Institute of History, Academy of Sciences of Albania. He is also a lecturer for German History and German Literature at the University of Tirana’s Department for German Language. Dr. Malaj's extensive academic and research experience greatly contributes to the scholarly rigor of such projects.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Florenca Stafa is a History Lecturer at the University of Elbasan. Dr. Brisejda Lala is the Head of the Research Center at ISKK, and a Lecturer, Researcher, Training Professional, Project Coordinator, and IB Teacher in Tirana. Her multifaceted role and extensive research expertise bring significant academic depth and coordination skills to the project.

MSc. Elmira Gjonaj
Elmira Gjonaj is a veteran history teacher at "Sami Frashëri" Gymnasium in Tirana, with over 31 years of teaching experience. She holds a Master's degree in "Politics and Educational Management" from the Faculty of Social Sciences in Tirana. Elmira is certified as a "Trainer in Education" and has extensive experience in developing and leading educational projects related to the Communist dictatorship and the Holocaust. Her dedication to education and professional development has been recognized with numerous awards and certificates of appreciation.
